Full Moon in Taurus Ritual
I am here to remind you that in times of fear and unrest, rest becomes the most radical form of resilience. I’ll be honest, I am not in the best place myself. It’s my Lunar Return, and my 12H Taurus Moon is in opposition my 6H Pluto. I am being called to slow down, to rest and engage in somatic healing and incorporate it into my magical rituals tonight. And I am reminding myself, it’s OK not to be OK.
Why Rest Matters Right Now:
Rest and recharge are critical right now because of the intensity of the energy we’re experiencing—both on a personal and collective level. With political unrest, rising fears, and societal uncertainty, it’s easy to feel untethered and overwhelmed. Rest provides a vital opportunity to ground yourself, regulate your nervous system, and step back into your power.
The Taurus Full Moon, ruled by Venus, is the ultimate reminder that rest is a necessity, not a luxury. Taurus energy invites us to slow down and connect with the Earth, reminding us that stability, pleasure, and abundance come not from constant striving, but from aligning with our inner rhythms. By pausing to rest, we reclaim our worth and acknowledge that our value isn’t tied to productivity.
Rest also serves as a form of resistance in a world that glorifies hustle and burnout. It’s an act of defiance against systems that thrive on exhaustion and a way to replenish your strength so you can engage thoughtfully and effectively in your personal life, activism, or spiritual practice.
Beyond that, rest is preparation. It restores clarity, resilience, and focus—qualities we need to face challenges with intention and power. It allows us to integrate the lessons of the Full Moon, release what no longer serves us, and create space for new possibilities.
In this moment, rest becomes more than just self-care. It’s a radical, grounding practice that honors your humanity, aligns you with the divine feminine, and fortifies you for the path ahead.
Tonight’s Taurus Full Moon comes with a powerful reminder: your body is your anchor, your sanctuary, and your source of wisdom. With everything going on in the world—the unrest, the fear, the noise—it’s easy to feel disconnected, spinning in your head instead of grounding in your body. But tonight, Taurus energy invites you to come home to yourself.
A Somatic Ritual for the Taurus Full Moon
Step 1: Create Your Sacred Space
Find a quiet, cozy spot where you feel safe. Light a candle (green, pink, or white if you have one) and gather any grounding items like crystals, a soft blanket, stuffed animals, etc.. Whatever helps you feel better.
Play soft, grounding music if it helps you feel connected.
Step 2: Ground Into Your Body
Sit or lie down comfortably. Place one hand on your heart and the other on your lower belly. Feel the rise and fall of your breath.
Take a deep breath in through your nose for a count of four, hold for two, and exhale slowly through your mouth for six. Repeat this 5-6 times, letting your body settle and soften.
🪞 Step 3: Soothe With Sensory Touch
Gently stroke your arms, shoulders, or legs. Let your hands move slowly, feeling the warmth and texture of your skin. Whisper to yourself, “I am safe. I am here. I am whole.”
If you have an essential oil or lotion, rub it into your hands or feet. Focus on the scent, the sensation, and the act of caring for yourself.
Step 4: Root Yourself in the Earth
Imagine roots growing from your body into the Earth. Feel them reach deep, connecting you to stability and nourishment. Visualize the Earth sending grounding energy up through these roots into your body, filling you with strength and calm.
Say aloud or in your mind, “I am rooted. I am grounded. I am supported.”
Step 5: Release & Receive
With each exhale, imagine releasing fear, doubt, or tension into the Earth. Feel it leaving your body like smoke, dissipating into the ground where it’s transformed.
With each inhale, draw in abundance, love, and safety. Imagine golden light filling you, expanding with each breath.
Step 6: Anchor Your Intention
Place your hands over your heart and say your intention for the Full Moon aloud:
“I honor my worth. I call in stability, abundance, and peace. I trust myself to weather any storm.”If it feels right, write this intention in a journal or on paper, and keep it somewhere sacred.
Why This Matters:
In times of chaos and fear, your body is your foundation. This Taurus Full Moon is a chance to remember that stability and abundance start within you. Resting, grounding, and caring for yourself isn’t avoidance—it’s how you reclaim your power and prepare for what’s ahead.
Tonight, let your body guide you back to yourself. You are resilient. You are worthy. You are exactly where you need to be.
